FAVORITE MAKEUP PRODUCTS
Helllooo!!! Thanks for coming here to check out my must have makeup products! I am really excited to take you through all of my favorites and explain why I love each one. Now there's a lot to go through, big surprise right? Many of the products I've been buying for years and some I just discovered by getting them in the mail through PR & trying them out. I'm going to talk you through all of my favorite products from face primer all the way through lipstick and setting spray. Okay so first thing's first. Primer. It's what you want to start your makeup process with. It's going to prep your skin for the cake face you're about to put on and allow the foundations, concealers and powders apply seamlessly. I like to think of it as a barrier between your pores and your foundation. Since I am one of the oily-girls I need a something matte, blurring & pore filling.
Here are two of my favorites that I love equally. Both really keep your face matte and blur out all imperfections.
On to foundation. My all time, number one, can't live with out, repurchased 20 times, it's amazing & nothing beats it is the... Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Powerless Foundation. Oh.My.God. It's literally the best matte foundation on the market in my opinion. I've using this foundation for nearly 4 years and I still love it just as much. It's matte of course and basically blurs out pores, fine lines & any other crap you don't want people seeing. It's full coverage too which I love because it covers up all of my red spots from old pimples. The best part is..are you ready..it's less than $10. Yup. I can't understand how this foundation is better than a $60 foundation from Sephora. It blows my mind. But I'm certainly not complaining.
Now let's talk concealer. Concealer is a tricky one for me because I must have tried out 100 different concealers within the last few years so it's hard to narrow down just one. However, out of all the ones I've tried both favorites are from Tarte. I know all of you reading this probably know which one I'm about to mention. Yep. I'm another one of those people about to brag about the Tarte Shape Tape. So original right. At first I hated it because I thought it was too thick..but man did that opinion change quickly. Totally love it now because it covers up everything, blends out nicely, and has a pretty good amount of product in the tube. My second fav concealer is the Aqua-Concealer from Tarte as well. Not gunna lie I fell in love with this product because of the cute ass bottle it comes in. It's different, well-made, and works great. It's water based too so its not thick but has a great amount of coverage.
Now on to the good stuff...Setting Powder. Sorry to ruin your assumption that I'm about to say oh the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder like everyone else, because I'm not! I'm so over everyone raving about the same products. Like let's hear something new for once. Right!? Anyway..my #1 setting powder is the Lancome Translucent Powder. This powder will change your life. If you thought Laura was good, you haven't seen nothing yet. The Lancome powder doesn't just set your concealer and keep your skin matte, it completely airbrushes the under eye area or any other place you use it. It even has coverage to it, so in addition to the coverage your concealer and foundation gave you, this powder gives you something extra. Just trust me on this one..its magic fairy dust for your face.
Who else is obsessed with bronzer? I know I am. It's my favorite product to apply and totally makes you go from 0-100 real quick. Last Summer Becca Cosmetics launched their Sunlit Bonzer Collection & I haven't looked back since. I received the entire collection in a PR box and literally died. Every single one of the bronzers from this collection gives you a natural sun kissed tan. It's crazy. They apply beautifully and really make you look like you were just out in the sun. For me personally, that's all I ask for of a bronzer..just make me look sun kissed!
Blush Blush Blush. Blush doesn't really excite me so I'm going to keep this section short. There are so many out there and eventually they just began to all look the same on my face. Does anyone else feel that way? Haha..but my favorite blush that I always go back to is the HOT MAMA blush by The Balm Cosmetics. Its a beautiful rose toned blush with gold shimmer. It always gives me a beach sun kissed vibe. & the packaging is the cutest ever...come to think of it all of The Balm products have the cutest packaging. Definitely check them out I guarantee their products will put you in a good mood.
I think by now most of us can agree it's nearly impossible to choose 1 favorite highlighter. I literally have so many and I love them all for different reasons..kind of my situation with lipsticks but we will get to that later. I love my Dior highlighters dearly and of course my Becca highlighters but the one particular product that comes to mind is the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guierro highlight palette. This palette is everything. I even use it for eyeshadow sometimes because the colors are so gorgeous. & In the Summer with a tan...don't get me started. It's magical that's all I can say. I actually think these are the most powerful highlighters out there. I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" or supporter of Nicole because I never knew who she was until I saw the palette but it didn't matter because this palette is that amazing. 100% recommend.
Eyeshadow time! This one is easy for sure. The Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette has been my favorite for over two years. The packaging is so fun and it has all the colors I will ever need. Whenever I go away on trips this is the palette I bring. It's the perfect size with a great assortment of neutral colors. It always works and always will!
Eyeliner! This is another product that I've probably tried 500 of. The Kiko Milano precision liquid liner is simply the best! It's matte, extremely black, and is simple to use. It's applicator gives you great control that leads to precise, sharp lines. It's a fantastic product for those of you who love to wear a cat eye wing like I do!
Mascara. If I had to choose one makeup product to wear forever it would be mascara. It completely changes your look even when you have no other makeup on. I have two favorites & they're both from Loreal. Now I find this crazy... I have mascara from Givenchy, Lancome & other luxury brands but none even come close to Loreal. They make my lashes long, thick and fabulous and cost me less than 10 bucks. Both of these mascaras I love equally except I've been using the Loreal Telescopic for over 4 years & I just discovered the Loreal Lash Paradise a few months ago. Fact: You can buy both of these mascaras for less than the price of one mascara at Sephora..crazy right.
Brows. Ugh. I hate doing my brows. It's the dreaded part of my makeup routine but I gotta do it considering I plucked nearly all my brows off in the 7th grade and continued to do so up until a few years ago. As you can imagine they're still struggling and never grew back normally. What is wrong with me? Now that I finally grew them out & have somewhat decent eyebrows, I still need to thicken them up. I've purchased this product probably 15 times in the past few years & it will always be my go-to. The Anastasia Brow Wiz my friends. It's super easy to use because the pencil is extremely thin, which allows precise brow hair application.
Now my favorite part..Lipstick!!! This is the one product I love to splurge on. Since I usually always wear nude/pink tones, I've built up quite the collection of these colors & I must say I'm pretty proud of it. I love collecting lipstick, especially those with luxurious packaging. Therefore I have many favorites and can't choose just one! Last but not least..Setting Spray! & props to you for actually reading this far :) I told you it's a lot! Anyway..no questions asked the Urban Decay All Nighter is the best setting spray ever. They mean it when they say "All Nighter" because it really does leave your makeup looking perfect all night! I've been a fan of this product for two years & it's my go-to whenever I go out for a party, event, or day out in the sun!
